Guess I'll go ahead and make a constructive post: I'm a little confused why we're jumping the gun on Carzola. Still a pretty significant hurdle to get them to actually sell.

Apparently Gervinho has been playing through the middle frequently in the preseason. Santos has practiced primarily in LM/LW slot. Interesting...

I dont see that working out mostly because I dont think Gervinho has the qualities to play in the middle but I could be wrong. Plus Santos is our cover at LB and OX has also been getting mins in the midfield. I don't understand the logic.

Gervinho doesn't have nearly a good enough control on the ball/touch to receive passes in a clustered midfield. He would give the ball away quite a bit.

It means as a striker, not a CM.

To me had a solid first half of the season and not so good second half. He did play in the African Cup in Jan. So I can see how that would affect him. Bottom line is he is a good winger. With a little improvement with his decision making and end product he could become a game changer.

He gets himself into great position very frequently, which in itself is great. Just as you mentioned, his final product is severely lacking.

There doesn't seem to be anywhere near enough technical ability, but more concerning, creativity to create his own, or others, opportunities to score.

Anyone watching this MC V AFC game? our ragtag team is holding it's own so far.

ETA: Not saying it's a bunch of scrubs, just that it's not exactly what we'll be throwing out there in August.. at least position wise.

Yes. Now we're down 2-0. Jenkinson probably at fault for both. Our defense is shambles!

Reports from La Marca suggesting Nuri Sahin could be loaned out to AFC due to lack of playing time.

Could be a good pick up for us

Would be a very good pick up especially with reports that the Cozorla deal has hit a snag. Its being reported that we underbid for the player, shocker! LINK It seems we too frequently underbid for players. If there is a quality player to be had and he fits the system and the price isn't outrageous, pony up and pay the frecking price!

The whole right side of the defense was empty on both goals because CJ was out of position. The 3-5-2 that city was playing exacerbated the problem though. Wing backs and yaya toure made those goals.

Sahin would be nice.

Told you all not to get your hopes up on Carzola. We don't have the money to pay whatever price it takes. The whole premise of us buying SC is that it would be at a cut rate because of their money issues. It still may happen, but there are significant roadblocks to overcome. When they get their tax bill on the 31st, then we'll know where we stand.

We bid 15.6 mill. They want 20. We don't have 4.4 mill more to close the deal?

Looks like Juve is pulling out of the race for RVP. LINK Now one of the Manchester teams will get him.

No, we don't. We don't even have the 15mil at the moment.

If Juve really pulled out, RvP is staying with us this year. Just my prediction. Man U won't meet our valuation, Man City can't apparently since they've decided to get serious about FFP. Also, i really don't think RvP wants to go to City.

City is serious about FFP? I don't believe it.
