Not talking younger guys that aren't established yet. I'm guessing guys 23 and older.

Terrence Boyd is 23. I think he will be on the roster in four years.

Terrance Boyd and Danny Williams didn't make the cut.

Shawn Parker hasn't decided on where to play (he is very young but has played in some Bundesliga games and capped for Germany on all of their youth teams from 15 to 21.

Assumed he was already cap-tied.

You talking about guys that have chosen other countries to play for or guys that just didn't make the team?

Pretty sure he is. Either way, he's 100% pro-USA.

I know all the guys who didn't make the team. I was asking about players who just don't want to play for the U.S.

ETA: Someone similar to Giuseppe Rossi.

I'm not aware of any, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

Okay, you weren't clear on the first post.

Boyd and Williams are cap-tied. Just didn't make the US team. Shawn Parker is like the other Germanicans. however, he hasn't shown any interest in playing for the US yet.

We actually haven't lost a lot of desirable guys in a while. Ibisevic was not a US citizen in the first place (no idea if he is now), same with Najar, so the two losses are Subotic (Serbian who the US totally mismanaged), Rossi (we tried our best), and maybe Movsisyan (Armenian who we didn't even look at for many years despite his active interest. And Hoyos was a one hit wonder for Argentina.

Thanks, it didn't seem like we lost many recently, was just wondering if there were any I didn't know about. I've heard Subotic talked about on this board before, is he someone who would have made the world cup roster?

Eta: nevermind, I see who he plays for club level. So assume that's a definite.

If Brede Hangeland was 10 years younger, I think we would have had a shot at him. I think he was born in Houston.

Brede Hangeland left the United States as an infant and didn't return, so there wasn't much of a chance of landing him.

Guys like Aron Johannsson and Mix Diskerud kept in contact with their American roots as youth.

True he was Johannsson before Johannsson although he had fewer ties to the US afterwards.

Subotic would make every team in the world. If you wanted to be provocative, you'd say he could start for 30 of the 32 countries, maybe 31.

Also Mix is actually American, not just through technicalities.
