Yea the scarfs in summer is stupid
The Europeans they are trying to be like don’t wear them when it’s nice out
And in the winter the scarf spends most the time wrapped tightly around their neck
If you see someone in Europe with a scarf on during the nice time of year 95% it’s a tourist with probably a half and half scarf
The Third Rail.
Really weird bunch
But the bars on 161st before games are great. And cheap tickets like 40 bucks

Of all the MLS teams to sign Giuseppe Rossi, RSL is the last team I would have suspected to do that. That’s a very irregular move for them. I guess it was just a matter of convenice, since he was already training with them. Doubt he plays a huge role for them, but should give them some good minutes.

Seattle getting bounced on penalties is surprising. But weird things usually happen in the early CCL rounds. Tigres needed a miracle goal to avoid losing to some Salvadoran team, and Club America needed penalties to beat a Guatemalan team.
LAFC getting the impressive win over Leon softens that blow, at least. Usually being down 0-2 to a Mexican team means death for MLS, but now the top MLS teams have the firepower to overcome such a deficit.
Hopefully the gradual shift of the season to an earlier start date will continue to help. By the 2021 or 2022 season, we’ll have enough warm-weather cities in the league to start the season in early or mid-February instead of early March, which will make a big difference in the teams’ fitness in CCL play. LAFC and New York City looked pretty great, just coming out of preseason against opponents in mid-season fitness.

Damn I fell asleep early last night and missed CCL fever.
Second year in a row that the MLS team advances in the first round MLS-LigaMX matchup. LAFC better hope it doesn’t cost them as much as it cost SKC.

The next round will be spicy vs LigaMX
But the only team I see advancing is LAFC.

Club America looked like arse against Comunicaciones. Needed a red card and a stupid late penalty just to tie. They are beatable.

MLS updated their roster rules (effective Jan 1, 2020), and there's 2 notable changes.
Old rule:
-Club keeps 75% of transfer fees, League keeps 25%.
-Club can convert up to $750k of transfer fee to GAM.
New rule:
-Club keeps 95% of transfer fee, League keeps 5%.
-Club can convert up to $1M of transfers fee to GAM.

man the shite storm if he comes here and tears it up
No way that happens. He's already been training with MLS team the last two seasons. If anything was going to happen, or they saw anything worthwhile, he wouldn't be here. We went the easiest route possible on an unproven coach. Took a playoff team and made some signings to increase the average age by nearly 2 years, didn't prioritize a Rimando replacement, and let go of one of our best players for about even to his original acquisition.
Going to be a rough year over here. Plus, his knees probably can't take the MLS.

That’s a huge jump. Good to see.

Is there a cap on transfer fees paid by the clubs or does the cap only limit salary?
