The difference between him and Almiron is huge. That's why Pity needs to be on the wing and Barco needs to be the 10. Pity is just slow in transition. Barco isn't as fast as Almiron (who is?), but he's blazing compared to Pity. Pity also doesn't seem to care about playing defense, which Almiron would do as the 10, which opens us up even more to being exposed on the counter.

Because he's going to have to play it for the next month and a half? I don't know. Barco has had issues with being too indecisive around the 18, so maybe he thinks Barco has fewer options on the wing, so he can make decisions quicker? Maybe because of Pity's lack of desire to play defense, it leaves the LB with too much room to cover? Personally, I'm of the opinion that Pity should be on the bench, but I can see the pressure to try and give the new $15m+ player every chance to prove himself.

We did give Barco 15 straight starts last season before realizing we were better off with him on the bench. He then played all of 17 minutes in the playoffs.

Now that was a great ball by Pity.

pville I read an article that Wild was about to get his green card and that would open an International slot with Bello's injury and Shea's ineffectiveness is their any talk of bringing in someone else to play LB?

I don't know, but it would open up a spot for someone like Asiedu to come up. We're kind of thin at CM right now as well (Kratz is injured, Goslin just returning from injury).

I think we could probably make a fairly cheap trade for a domestic LB. He doesn't have to be great, just cover until Bello returns.

But there are two international LBs with ATLUTD 2 that we could call up (Hernandez and Benitez).

Benitez has started most of those games.

Can we just play teams with half the roster hurt from now on?

So I went to the last Atlanta 2 game, I'm a Nashville SC fan, and man you had some people there that were counts. First we had a players mom (the mom of the guy that scored the own goal) get mad at our supporters section. Then we had some chick come near us during the last 15 minuets cursing and giving us the finger. Jesus Christ this is a 2 team relax.

Sounds like the same chick that sat about 5 rows in front of me at the MLS Cup final. Was she with 3 dudes that were doing the same thing?

Just one guy. She had brown hair. I would've got a video if my phone wasn't already soaked from the rain.

She also mentioned that they have a cup, well it's not like we could've stopped them as we aren't in MLS yet.

We actually may be talking about the same person. We were 2 sections away from the Portland block in December and this bitch spent half the game giving them the bird and yelling obscenities at them. Those type of people are trash.

Sounds like we're trying to bring in a new attacking player before the window closes tonight at midnight.

Either way if we start a 2 team in the future I'm not sure I'm going to get that worked up about them.

re: 2019 Atlanta United FC Season-Long Thread
I'm told Justin Meram is on the move, hearing #Crew96 is working on a deal to send him to Atlanta United #UniteAndConquer . No word on the price. Meram would give Atlanta some midfield depth while Ezequiel Barco is at the Under-20 World Cup, and beyond. #MLS
