I am hearing that Josef is set to get a new contract. Depending on how big of a contract he gets will mean a lot about his staying long term in Atlanta. Modest increase and he may have is eye on a return to Europe. An increase that would pay him like the leagues best player means he is in the MLS long term. So the pundits say.

And... Escobar is out for 6-8 weeks with a broken collarbone.

Josef has signed on for 5 more years.

Looks like Cincy may be buying Herediano's best player, so he probably won't be on the team when Atlanta plays them next month in CCL.

Sounds like we're looking at clubs in Mexico or South America that would take Barco on loan until summer so that we can keep Almiron for the first part of the season and have better offers for him in the next window.

One of the Sirus FC shows were saying they would keep him for the CCL.

I don't see why Cincy would allow that unless they content to not have him until summer. The 2nd leg is the last few days of February and the MLS season starts March 2nd.

Cincy just announced that they have signed Cruz and made no mention of him joining the team at a later date.

Pity should arrive in ATL either tomorrow or Monday.

Supposedly Rafa Benitez the Spanish manager of New Castle Unitted has threatened to resign if they don't sign his #1 and 2 transfer targets Almiron is one of the 2. FWIW

Been thinking of additional players to add to homegrown contracts.
I would like to see if we could convince Garces to leave UCLA and be our #3 GK.
We could use another CB, and I hear Kendall Edwards has been training with the first team in preseason. Will Crain is another possibility.
We badly need another RB, but I'm not really seeing one in the academy pipeline right now.
Will Vint could be a CM option, but I don't think he'll be eligible for a homegrown contract until September.
Will Reilly is another midfield option.

I think AUFC just announced that they will announce the Pity signing tomorrow.

Eales just tweeted that we're announcing Pity this morning.

If they keep Almiron alongside Pity and Josef, then MLS will be pretty boring.

Might happen but only till the summer window.

So with Pity does this make United the MLS version of Golden State?

We are signing Pogba! No, not that Pogba but his brother Florentin a defender. So the story goes.

Just hope it's not at the expense of LGP (and that his salary is small).
