I know there are a few Serie A followers on this board, hoping to get some solid contribution from those posters and anyone else who would like to follow along.

Juve has all but wrapped up an 8th consecutive Scudetto, currently holding an 11-point edge on Napoli at the time of this posting. More interesting, is the race for the 4th spot and UCL qualification. Milan currently occupy that position with just a 1pt lead over Atalanta, Roma, and Lazio, with fixtures against Atalanta, Inter, and Juventus still remaining.

As for the Coppa Italia, we will have a new winner for the first time since 2014 as Juventus found themselves eliminated at the hands of Atalanta in the Quarterfinals.

Yeah but Milan also have the advantage of Inter imploding if Spaletti doesn’t figure something out soon.

They squandered away this years CL, wouldn’t be surprised if they choke in Europa and then miss a spot for next year CL.

The Icardi story has to mean he's moving on for real this summer.

shite, hadn’t read that story yet. Yeah he’s got to be a leaving now. He went cold and Martinez has been picking up the slack off the bench. Curious to see where Icardi ends up.

Hopefully they can get something good in return for dealing Icardi and Perisic as they undoubtedly will. I persoanally think Spalletti should be dismissed as well.

Wow, that’s sort of a bombshell. That reads like he’s gone for sure. My first thought would be Real Madrid but Flo just came out saying Benzema is the best 9 in the world. Whether that’s bullshite or not, only time will tell.

I could see Inter falling out of the top 4 and cleaning house this summer. Fortunately, they have some good pieces still in Lautaro, De Vrij and Skriniar.

Inter fans want Mourinho back?

Yeah, I would make that the race for 3rd and 4th CL spots likely going down to the wire.

I had thought Inter would have a great season -- Spalletti's a fantastic tactician and thought it would at least be next year before he started to have his usual issues with seemingly everyone associated with his club. Add to that Inter having a solid roster and even mortgaging the future in sending Nicolò Zaniolo to Roma for Nainggolan.

As it stands now, the current points pace of all the teams in the mix would drop Inter out of the Top 4 after their blistering start.

Milan is probably the most solid, consistent of the competitors but Roma likely the highest ceiling with all the 19-24 year olds they're counting on.

I hope Atalanta manages to get into a CL spot (especially since there's not much reason to worry about league coefficient as much anymore). They have one of the best youth systems in the league and Gasperini's style of play is a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, I've been pretty busy this year --stuck at the record shop I opened on weekends mainly-- and usually just have a chance to watch every AS Roma match, a lot of Atalanta and just catch a few bigger other matches here and there.

Yeah, I'm in Brooklyn . . . .

Those Bikini Kill shows are the event of the season it seems. We have some of my girlfriend's friends that are flying in from Europe and Japan for them staying with us.

The record shop's called Rebel Rouser!

I say roped in, but I don't mind them at all.. though they weren't my favorite..

I see they've added more shows in NYC and LA since...

a friend of ours is letting us use their place in the bowery.. but I'll def try and make it over..

That would be cool... Let me know if you're coming and I'll be sure to be at shop.
Yeah, I that Bikini Kill ticket "sell out" and then adding more shows is such a publicity stunt.

Only time will tell but, as a Roma fan, I would stick with:

Zaniolo 19
Kluivert 19
Lorenzo Pellegrini 22
Luca Pellegrini 19
Schick 22
Under 21
Cristante 23
Karsdorp 24
Coric 21

To name the 8/9 that have seen a lot of first team playing time -- although there is concern that Schick, Karsdorp and Under have missed so much injury time.

I think Roma will begin to improve consistency down the stretch due to the sheer amount of minutes all the young players have been playing (if they can all stay healthy).

Seems the race is on between Roma and Milan among some others to add Sandro Tonali.

I think the Monchi rebuilding at Roma is only about 1/2 done and there will be even more Nainggolan for Zaniolo type deals this summer in defense.

I'm not sure that I'd say Milan's U24s are far better than Roma's, but I do agree they're better. Donnarumma (still only 19!!!!) and Romagnoli have over 230 combined appearances for the senior club already. If Milan can hang onto both, those are cornerstones for the club. Then you have budding stars like Cutrone, Paqueta, Piatek, Calabria, and -- to a lesser extent -- Caldera.

One of the keys to Milan's great start after the turn of the year has undoubtedly been Baka. I'm hoping the rumors are true that Chelsea have agreed to a discounted sale due to the Higuain loan because if Milan can hold onto Baka, and he continues his torrid form, Milan are in a great spot for next year. Huge kudos have to be given to Elliot and the new ownership group after the embarrassing debacle of the previous sale.

Milan need a LW in the worst way and I think Elliot and crew will do everything possible, FFP contingent, on bringing one in.

Donnarumma -19
Calabria - 22
Conti - 24
Castillejo - 24
Romagnoli - 24
Bakayoko - 23
Piatek - 23
Caldara - 24
Paqueta - 21
Cutrone - 21
Kessie - 21

With all due respect, it’s not debateable as far as who has the stronger group of U24s.

Zaniolo is very, very good (lol at Inter paying €24m + Zaniolo for that chain smoking gypsy). Under is better than Castillejo. The rest are nowhere close

I don’t think Elliot are the slightest bit concerned with FFP (obviously their public statements are one thing, but it’s no coincidence UEFA has announced their next phase of FFP will be much more lenient now that Elliot’s legal team, Nasser, and Mansour are all putting pressure on UEFA).

Since UEFA announced that Milan needed to break even by 2021 (no restrictions like Roma and Inter received), they’ve spent €70m on Paqueta and Piatek (obviously Silva’s sale in the summer nets them €40m from Sevilla, or possibly more if Sevilla can’t meet that price). Saint-Maximin rumored to join in the summer for just under €30m as well.

Thankfully our squad doesn’t need a ton of additions to be complete. A couple of wingers, possibly another midfielder with Biglia and Jack’s fitness issues, are all that’s needed. I would like a better LB to come in and challenge RR for his spot but that’s a luxury signing more than anything.

Yeah, let's pray Elliot know what they're doing and aren't just doing this to stick it to FFP. They've certainly earned the benefit of the doubt.

Don't want. From the little bit I've seen he's all speed with little to no end-product. I'm willing to be wrong. Not just that, but he plays the same position as Suso -- we need a LW so we can move Hakan inside to an 8 or preferably to a 10. He's been terrible on the wing. I like the Bergwijn kid.

With you on this. We're reportedly in pole position for Tonali which is exciting but there are obvious risks associated with paying 30m+ for a kid who has never played in the 1st division.

Huge match tomorrow with Milan visiting Atalanta. Should be an exciting match to watch, Atalanta plays a beautiful brand of soccer.

If Milan can come away with 3pts the hype train will be in full force
