Chicago offered Drogba an 18-month contract at $2.5 million per season. Montreal is also interested, but Inter are trying to hijack the deal.

Drogba said he would consider Inter if they offered. Havent heard of Inter actually pursuing him.

Columbus Crew have emerged as the leaders to land Kenwyne Jones. An attack of Kamara, Finlay, and Jones would be sick.

Do they need any more attack? And do they switch to a 4-4-2?
Posted on 7/20/15 at 9:25 pm to cwil177
I don't think they need more attack, but I guess Berhalter is going all in. It would be interesting. I would think they have to go 4-4-2 if they land Jones.

Vidal´s signing surprised me. I know he´s a great player and a bit of a hothead, but his off the field antics (I´m not referring to hanging his Ferrari on a berm in Chile just now) make him suspect.
German girls dig ´ethnic´ looking dudes, he´s going to be a handful off the pitch for the Bayern admins.

Who drops though? their setup right now is just built for a 4-2-3-1. Where does Higuain play in a 4-4-2? Tchani, Higuain, and Trapp form a pretty solid core.

Dzeko is reportedly in talks to join Arsenal on a £13.9 mil bid. That would be a tall front line, but I doubt he goes for less than £18-20.

Yeah that link sounds like bullshite. We don't need another big striker. We need a great finisher. Dzeko is not better than Giroud.

Vidal is sort of high-risk, high reward I'd agree....but after losing Bastian, Bayern's defense/midfield needs some intensity. The Schweine/Javi back midfield in 2012-13 kicked teams in the mouth (see Barça semis that year...admittedly with help from a better back line.)
Lahm is precise but doesn't scare anyone physically...Xabi has one good year left and is slow....I'll admit Rode is getting there....but there aren't any reliable "enforcers" aside from Boateng in Bayern's back half (Benatia, Badstuber, & Javi can't stay healthy).
While I don't like the fact that Bayern is getting away from its youth system in some ways, Vidal with the proper mindset could bring back some of that swagger to the midfield.
Two things I know: RM were the more confident team in the 2014 semis and Barça were the more confident team in 2015 semis. I'll admit both were also hitting their stride, but Bayern needs to regain some confidence in several ways.

City need to just stop valuing him so high
He's almost 30 and is injury prone the last couple years he isn't worth the 20
Million they want.

Newcastle United complete the signing of Aleksandar Mitrovic from Anderlecht.
The 20-year-old has signed a five-year deal at St James' Park, subject to a work permit being granted.

Chelsea will lodge an improved £34million bid for John Stones in an attempt to weaken Everton’s resolve, according to the Daily Express.
The Premier League champions have ignored the Toffees’ claim that Stones is not up for transfer at any price and are prepared to make the 21-year-old the most expensive defender in British football history – eclipsing the £30million Manchester United paid for Rio Ferdinand in 2002.

Chelsea have agreed to loan Patrick Bamford to Premier League rivals Crystal Palace for the entirety of next season, according to The Guardian.
Bamford impressed last year while out on loan to Middlesbrough, where he earned the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year as his 19 goals in 44 appearances propelled Boro into the play-off final.
The 21-year-old reportedly had a medical at Selhurst Park on Monday before teaming up with Alan Pardew’s side for pre-season preparations.
Bamford will follow former Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye in joining the Eagles this summer, once his move has been finalised.
super excited to see how this pans out
