Río Ferdinand, like the Serb who used to play for Manu, was overrated.
He did get abused when playing top continental sides (like Vidic).

Now it looks like Jackson Martinez is going to Atletico. Another lost target for Milan.

To me the price Leeds paid for him was more of a joke than what United paid for him

That guy is great. He's also said it was his lifelong dream to play in the EPL and then said his lifelong dream was to play for a club like AC Milan.

So, I guess my next question is with Kondogbia and possibly Imbula (which is odd, since they are both DMs).. Are they shipping out Kovacic? We've been linked with him all summer, with a deal imminent for quite some time.. depending on who you believe..
It's really a mystery exactly what Mancini is wanting to do in the midfield and with Kovacic in particular.
However, I don't think that the purchase of either or both really means much as far as Kovacic is concerned from a simple team building concept.
It mainly would mean goodbye to Gary Medel and Zdravko Kuzmanovic.
That would leave Kondogbia, Imbula as the more DMs and, depending on where he plays them Guarin, Kovacic in the pivot or attack and Brozovic and Hernanes as attacking mids. . .
Also, Mancini's struggles to find a defensive mid that really worked out at Man City may mean he even buys one or two more.
Seriously though, even if they have money, Inter will certainly be selling some players but they have 6 or so fairly desirable players they really want to move out.
Selling Kovacic and keeping Hernanes and Guarin really wouldn't fit their youth strategy at all so I imagine it's certainly not the plan unless forced into it.
It may simply come down to whether selling Kovacic makes the difference in getting a top younger attack partner for Icardi.

Croatia forward Mario Mandzukic is undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed move from Atletico Madrid to Juventus, the Serie A champions have announced.
The 29-year-old is set to join the Italian giants with reports suggesting the deal is worth 25million euros and will see him sign a four-year contract.

Crystal Palace's board are ready to put the block on Alan Pardew’s move for Charlie Austin due to a hefty asking price, according to the Daily Mirror.
QPR have valued Austin at £15million after their relegation from the Premier League last term, and Pardew is thought to be preparing to battle with Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham for the 25-year-old striker.

PSG READY HUGE POGBA BID
Paris Saint-Germain are readying a colossal bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to Marca.
Pogba has been the talk of this summer’s transfer market with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs looking to lure him away from Turin.
Marca claim PSG are preparing a £70million (€98 million) bid for Pogba as they look to beat Manchester City and Barcelona in the race for the 22-year-old.
The report goes on to suggest Juve – who have been active in this window bringing in the likes of Sami Khedira and Paulo Dybala - are open to the sale of Pogba as they set their sights on further additions.

I seent it, and laughed. You did as well, but have selective amnesia (I remember watching Vidic and commenting on a match with many on this board). In fact, of the three in question, I´d say Randy´s beloved tPOS does the best in Continental play.
Don´t get me wrong, Ferdinand was great, but he was one of the best, not the best, during his tenure (same with Vidic).
Anyway, DePay, Lukaku, Pogba and Kalou are together on holiday (looks like DePay is hammering Pogba about considering Manu).

and PSG, and Barça, and I bet Zidane´s made sure that behind the scenes negotiations as per RM are still going on.....
Anyway, it was a Catalonian paper which said that Manu is making overtures.

it is a big club, and the coach who was there that let him go is no longer there.
If he liked it there (except for immediate management), why would he not entertain the thought?
Catalonia´s Mundo Deportivo says he´s discarded ManU, however.

I'm not completely sure what Spurs are thinking with Yedlin, and I'm not sure they know either.
Belgian papers are saying that Jelle Vossen is signing with Celtic in the next couple of days. Know anything about him S?
