Zenit does not need its own season-long thread, especially as the Admins get mad at us for having any season-long threads every year.

Pavel Mogilevets has been loaned to FC Rostov for the season. If Kurban Berdyev is not too senile, this could be a good move for Pasha.

Zenit win the Russian Super Cup on penalties.
Regulation ended 1-1 after Zenit got an 83rd minute equalizer from Igor Smolnikov.
After a scoreless extra time, Zenit prevailed 4-2 in penalties. Domenico Criscito got the deciding strike.
We got some more silverware!

He was in Zenit's starting XI today, and as you can see a few posts up, was featured in the new kit release. I thought he was Sunderland bound, but maybe not.

Some things to take from today's game.
Dzyuba was the starting striker ahead of Rondon and Kerzhakov.
Yusupov is the replacement for Tymoschuk, not Witsel. Witsel was in the starting XI, so maybe he isn't leaving.
I'm so glad Smolnikov has replaced Anyukov. I love Sasha, but his best days are behind him.
Lodygin is definitely the best Russian keeper now. He's passed Akinfeev.
