I'm more concerned about league play than CL.

Literally this is the biggest thing Pool fans were happy about was European nights back at Anfield.

You are in for a treat

I was just glad it gave us more money to spend. Finish top 4 again and then I'll take CL more seriously.

No respect for Borini.

I'll worry about the ultimate prize when we have a team that I think can compete for it.

I like Borini, but something tells me he won't be on the team this year.

You are getting a bit ridiculous.

You have the chance to be the best club in the world and its not that big a deal to you.

If you are good enough to be at the top of the EPL this season you are good enough to compete for the UCL.

I like him too.. Depending on who we bring in, not sure he'll see enough game time. He worked his tail off for us and makes good runs, but he was pretty wasteful in front of goal... I'd have no problem keeping him on, but feel it may be best for both to sell him to a team who can really use him...

I see him getting loaned out again.

TBH, if we went in to the season with Sakho, Skrtel, Agger and Lovren or other new CB... I'd be content... with Toure as 5th CB..

If we sell Agger and have those top 4, I could live with it..

We still have Coates (who i think we'll loan or sell) and Ilori (who should be loaned, I expect big things) too

I hope you're right. there have been numerous reports that we have offered between 8-10 for him but it could just be tabloids making their own stories due to gus wanting him back so badly and Borini seeming to enjoy his time at Sunderland.

Although if he can't come back to us I really hope he stays at Liverpool because he really wants to break through. Seems like a phenomenally hard worker and great teammate.

We're stepping up our bid to sign Alberto Moreno

Because we needed it to attract talent and compete financially. Its infinitely more important to put back to back qualification seasons together. The league, specifically top 4, is the priority. That along with getting out of the group in Europe would be a massive success this year.

Ilori

Mark my words, this guy will be one of the best in the league if we play his development right. I haven't seen potential like he has in a long time. He's the real deal.

Thats the major thing, for BR to build credibility with big time players.

Exactly why the UCL is super important, the fact he down played it is crazy. With out any major injuries you should be top four in England.

That's the point. Show you can get to the knockout. After that, who cares?

I think we're going to be in a fight for fourth. Without Suarez this team will be very different. Chelsea, City, and Arsenal should all comfortably finish above us. LvG will have United back to their old self, IMO, so its going to be rough. I think LFC fans should be realistic about this.

Exactly, no one is expecting us to compete for the UCL trophy in our first season back in a long time... like you said, hopefully get out of the group (which we will have a tough draw) and finish top 4 again... top 4, being the key..
