24 hours seems like an awfully long amount of time for one pick. Most of the message board fantasy league drafts I've been in allow 8 hours for someone to make a pick. The draft clock runs between 8am and midnight. If someone fails to make a pick within their 8 hours then the next team can pick and pass them up. Of course, once your 8 hour clock runs out you can then come in and make a pick at any point in time.
Since the season is so close, I think we need to try and make the draft go as quickly as possible.

Yeah, I agree. The season starts in less than two weeks. If two or three people take 24 hours, things could get pretty hairy.
