According to Goal.com , Ribery had informed Bayern Munich staff that he would be receiving a visit from his brother and cousin during the day. It is believed that the fan that was let in was mistaken for either of the two men.

The entire matter is believed to have started when the same man arrived to one of Bayern 's training sessions two weeks ago with a dog for Ribery . The man in question is believed to have tried again in his attempts to give the animal to the footballer.

Police were called to Munich's training facilities after the argument broke out and had this to say about the matter (via Goal.com ): "We had to attend an incident at Sabener Strasse . Because of a suspect who was located there. We went there, and sorted everything out."
