I think they better worry about defense.

Looks like this deal is 98% likely to go through. Liverpool have just accepted a bid for him. Apparently a medical is imminent.

Ball is now in Pool's corner. Where do they go from here?

Hello Arsene, are you watching.

He is and he will surprise you.
Would you really be surpised if they didn't make any moves?

A - Do they really need another striker?

If it's Carroll, I'd go for it.

B - Do they really have the cash for a £30M purchase?

Dunno; but continuing Champions League play will help.

why is there concern of another team raiding them for Bale?

Hype built up after his hat trick at Inter.

One Dutchy for another. Elia would be cheaper than Suarez as well.

Bale's hype is justified IMO. Besides Nani who is playing better as a true winger? And that is a big if.

Agreed.
The only downside to Bale is his elf-like features, poor fella.

He can shoot 15 Orcs in thirty seconds with a bow. Pretty good guy to have around.

The only downside for Bale is that he has to track back and cover for a pretty terrible LB. Spurs would be immediately better if Bale could play LB and still provide width.

Kenny Miller will be back in Hoops, just in Turkey... for Bursaspor.

ETA: Or not

This makes absolutely no sense anymore.

Come on man. What if McCourt was leaving? It sucks for the SPL in all ways. This is a huge blow to Rangers, even with the games in hand.

Such a quiet window...

Villa still wants Charlie Adam, Holloway is still insulted that they've only rated him at 3.5 milli when they gave Bent 24 mill.

Suarez to Liverpool is hot-and-cold, latest being it may be dead. Which means it's probably on at the last minute. Liverpool also wants Ashley Young.

Something big needs to happen or I will threaten to get bored with this transfer window.
