Vela in loan deal to West Brom. I was hoping for Bolton, but as long as he gets minutes it doesn't matter.

Easily the most interesting day of the transfer window thus far.
Mike Bradley to Turkey. Suarez to L'pool FINALLY gone. Nando maybe or maybe not to Chelsea?
Yeah...fun day to be a soccer fan.

Chelsea are offering Sturridge + £40 mil. Word is Liverpool actually wants to start formal negotiations...

Truthfully though, not a bad take for Pool if it does happen.
Sturridge is a good young striker. And 40 mill is a ton of jack.
I still can't imagine Pool fans being happy about this deal though. B-Mac will be crushed.

I'd seriously consider that offer for Torres. You could buy two more quality players easily with that kind of dough. And then you would have Sturridge as well, a serviceable player who would give you another option up front.

They have to take it. You get Sturridge, pay for Suarez and have like 12-15mm pounds left over.

Honestly, I've never been much of a Torres guy. But I've always wanted him to snap out of the funk. And if there's a team I hate, it's Chelsea.
My fear is that if this deal happens, Torres will go on a ridiculous run and frick us all in the Premiership. And Chelsea will get younger in the process. It's lose-lose.
It's not a bad deal for Liverpool. If Torres gets back to where he was, which I feel is inevitable, its an even better deal for Chelsea.
frick.

what sucks about this is that Suarez is meant to supplement Torres. Not replace. If Sturridge came in then fine I guess, but I doubt that happens.
If Torres goes then we're in the same place we've been only now we'll have an unproven striker in this league followed by N'Gog.

Torres is very close to where he was right now, and it's been building these last few weeks. His full season form is clouding everyone's opinion recently.

You know Comelli better than we do. IYO, he's presented with deal on the table. What does he do?

There's two schools of thought here: 1) prove you're not a selling club and reject any offer. 2) take the cash and run.
Personally I'd go with route 2. No player is worth £50 mil pounds, though they'd have to move quick for a replacement striker. Suarez isn't a lone-up front guy and pairing him with Ngog or Sturridge isn't too frightening. Don't know who they could get in the next few days though...

in the offseason this might make sense, but at this point in the season with the climb that's in front of them I don't know if it's smart.
He'll still be worth a bundle in July, but a top-4 finish is still a remote possibility. If he was to catch fire along with Suarez it could become a real possibility.
I don't want to see him go at all, but certainly not now.
