I don't think that anyone has told Moyes that he is a United player and not Short Round from Indiana Jones

You would think from a market standpoint that United would want their only Asian to play at least a little bit, but Woodward is still counting his pennies for a Cesc bid.

Looks like he trained. Or maybe it's a ghost.

It would help if they had any amount of speed to test Real Madrid's back line with (which I don't think they really have).
Now is probably the time to catch Real Madrid, though. A number of players are out, returning from injury, or just arriving, and Ancelotti hasn't had enough time to figure out how to effectively deploy them. If he rolls out a lightweight midfield like he did against Villarreal (true 4-3-3: Illarrmendi, Modric, Isco), I could see Galatasaray giving them some trouble since it is in Istanbul.

Korea was pretty pissed with us about Park. You don't want to piss off Japan.

Leverkusen's midfield should beat up on United's center mids
As usual, Carrick is going to be pivotal for ManU.

How do you like "the other Real" in todays contest?

I don't see how one has to do to with the other. Getting Cesc is pretty damn unlikely. What was likely was that Darren Dein was using United to get a new deal for his client. Cesc is going to have a spectacular year in Martino's system. Xavi is being phased out, albeit slowly, and Cesc is becoming the go to playmaker.
Kagawa is a better player than Ashley Young and Nani, and is more creative than Valencia. If Moyes freezes Kagawa out for no real reason, then he's a fricking moron. Ashely Young, outside of some sweet goals against Arsenal in that 8-2 game, is really, truly overrated, just like his former Aston Villa compatriot, James Milner. I don't see how he is getting games at all.

Their detroying of OL doesn´t tell me much, as I think OL may be bad.
Bah, I don´t know. They obviously didn´t suffer a tremendous dropoff by losing Illarra, but that is Shaktar (who have been very, very solid as of late in this tourney).
It´s in San Sebastián, so I´m thinking they shouldn´t do worse than a draw.

Would be especially hypocritical and stupid given all of the anti-diving comments from Moyes this week to start Young over Kagawa if both are healthy...

It was a sarcastic post.
Moyes isn't playing Kagawa.
Kagawa is United's big connection to their giant Asian market.
Management should want Moyes to play Kagawa.
Management won't do this because they're mostly clueless right now...multiple lowball bids for Cesc were examples I used.
The post had no sense of seriousness or tactical knowledge on my part.
ETA: I, too, do not like Young.

Ah. I came in late. It is actually annoying me that Kagawa isn't getting chances. He's a pretty great player who I fear will be relegated wide left in his time at United, where he will be slightly disappointing, and will be shipped out somewhere else, probably Dortmund, where he will play awesome.

He's on the bench, if we need him he'll play 30 or so minutes. Götze and Ø just resumed individual training again yesterday or the day before so they aren't in the squad.

FOBUD just informed me that Kagawa and Fellaini were starting for United tonight. Huzzah!
