Listening to the post match interview, it was obvious Pellegrini had no clue that one more goal would have put them at the top of the group. He thought they needed two. If only Aguero had been given a chance.

Saving Aguero was ok. We need to win Saturday.

BTW we had 4 English players on the pitch and still came back.

First time in 38 years Bayern has lost at home after leading 2-0

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

there's a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference between winning the group and not winning. especially this year. that could be a costly mistake. 20 mins for aguero wouldn't have had an effect on Saturday.

Yeah, but come on. Give him 10-15 minutes with Negredo up top. They put Rodwell on in the 80th or so because they didn't think they could get the 2 they needed. They even had Aguero start warming up just in case they got the 4th goal.

But you know exactly what happened. They came into the game thinking they had no chance at winning the group, then suddenly found themselves up 3-2 and had to figure out on the fly the GD needed to win.

bc they lost the group, they now get stuck with one of:

Real Madrid
PSG
Atletico Madrid
(probably) Barca
possibly Dortmund/Napoli and Basel/Schalke but probably not.

instead of:

Leverkusen
Juve/Gala
Olympiacos
Basel/Schalke
Dortmund/Napoli
Zenit/Porto
probably Milan/Ajax

that's a multi-million euro gamble/mistake

Yep. How do you not know the scenario of winning the group pre-match? Playing Aguero for 20 minutes would do nothing. City has the extra day of rest. Both teams have to travel back to England as well.

Strachan thinks Bayern's Achilles Heel is Dante.

I don't watch Bayern enough to say that. An obvservation from today is that he reminded me a little of David Luiz. Capable of a great play and then a real WTF? kind of moment.

Yeah, that decision to sit Aguero is on par with Sean Peyton's decision to not take the automatic first down Sunday night.

Wat.

Kind of spot on for me...I seem to curse at Boateng more, but Dante racks up cards and is inconsistent...

Both played horribly today...actually most of the squad played badly after the first 20 mins...

Felt a lot like the 2-0 Arsenal defeat that saved Wenger's job...team just not into it, thinking they could cruise.

Honestly, it was a great reality check...but City earned that win, played better
