Anyone surprised???

Overnight ratings for Alabama's 21-0 victory over LSU were the lowest for a national championship in the 14-year history of the BCS. The All-SEC affair, the first championship pairing teams from the same conference, drew a 13.8 overnight rating on ESPN. The previous record low was a 14.3 for Miami-Nebraska at the 2002 Rose Bowl.

You always germans bro.
It was already posted. No one likes defense and it was on cable. That was the general comment said in the other thread.

Germans and No
I tried to tell everyone prior in the few threads that were created saying it would be one of the most watched. The rest of the country did not care

The cable argument is bogus. Everyfrigginbody has cable nowadays. Especially those who are selected to be Neilsen viewers.

The rest of the country is tired of the SEC and they felt disapointed in the first game

I don't have cable, I watched it online.

a friend of mine even watched it on his x box

And you are not a Neilsen viewer. So your viewing medium is irrelevant.

TigerinMiami and the rest of bitter nation will be very pleased with that info.

1. Was on ESPN and not ABC.
2. Bowl season too long AFTER Jan 1.
3. The idiots stuck it AFTER the NFL playoffs. I listened to sports talk radio all day yesterday. Want to guess what they all talked about? Tebow, Saints, and Packers. Buzz yesterday was all NFL.

The rest of the country needs to learn to play defense. Bama would have scored 40 or 50 last night on these other "powers" that got snubbed.

I expected it and I understand the frustration from fans across the nation.
This game actually kick started the playoff movement further and the ratings help it even more.

LSU went an entire game without a single BIG PLAY.
It would have been like watching paint dry for anybody other than a fan of the two teams.
Listening to national radio this morning and all unafilliated fans are screaming about the BCS.
LSU is almost getting a pass.
The attitude seems to be "well of COURSE Bama won" that suck-fest rematch.
LOTS of people want the BCS over NOW.
They WANTED to hate the game, and it was an easy game to hate from a viewing perspective.

It was a regional game. No team from the west or midwest. It being played down in the south hurt the rating too.

They were saying on ESPN this morning BCS people would meet today to discuss changes to the system.

Mike Slive will have a hell of a big hammer to swing when he brings up a playoff again. Six of them, in fact.
Will it be enough to sway the Big 10(12) and the Pac?
