Good question. I think because OSU would be #1 in the computers, putting them #2 overall. That would still put LSU at #1, because of their large lead in the polls, leaving bama out. The computers love OSU.

That sounds legit, but I honestly don't know. Seems too simplistic.

OSU is #2 in the computer polls now. They're just getting killed in the human polls.

That's interesting. I suppose OSU might grab some #1 votes as well

LSU's computer score will still be so much better than Bama's that Bama would need to be ahead of LSU in a large percentage of the human polls. Seriously doubt it happens

Ok. St. has either been first or second to LSU in the computers for weeks. They fell last week after being idle while Bama played. If they win today they'll go back to second, or first if LSU loses this game

So there were second, and may move back to second. That does not make them second. Right now Bama is second in the computers.

If that makes you feel better. If OSU wins today they WILL move ahead of Bama in the computers again.

This is correct. It really all comes down to the advantage in the polls.

Even if LSU loses (which looks like a very real possibility), the most likely outcome is still a Bama/LSU rematch. I wouldn't worry too much

That's without OSU beating OU. The OP is assuming OSU wins out.
