I know he is the coach several Bama posters love to hate and are happy to see go, but he had a great game plan, trusted his QB to execute it and McCarron executed it almost to perfection. Sure, he could have been a little more aggressive in plus territory, but overall he was excellent in game planning and play calling.

Without doubt. He had a masterful game plan and has done an outstanding job during his tenure. Wish him nothing but continued success and appreciation for the job he's done in his time in TTown. Guy took Alabama's offense to heights it had never seen.

Moving receivers into the backfield to give LSU's D a wrinkle to have to cover was pretty brilliant. It gave McCarron a quick out to a receiver rather than a RB that the LB's were keying on.

I was thinking of him this morning while getting ready for work. Dude has really been solid for Bama in his tenure, and I wish him all the best in his coaching future.

Too bad Bamatards think that we should score on every snap, and won't give the man ANY credit...

Saban has a great formula of finding NC winning OCs without sideburns.

An underrated OC, imo. The Alabama offense, if everyone remembers, totally changed in Saban's 2nd year. I knew this guy was really good.

I hope Alabama hires Gary Crowton. Please do.

I think Saban learned a huge lesson tonight, especially with regards to McCarron. You can't develop a young QB with his arm tied behind his back. I doubt we ever see Saban yelling at AJ to "settle the frick down" anymore. AJ is a gunslinger and giving him some freedom to take a few risks is the only way to get any kind of production out of him. The kid was amazing last night. Probably avoided 5 sacks in the pocket that McElroy would have taken. Top 3 QB in the SEC next season.
