Did the defensive performance by Bama remind LSU fans of the '04 Sugar Bowl?

The performance by Alabama's defense tonight certainly seemed reminiscent of LSU's defense against Oklahoma in that game. The only difference is that LSU's offense and special teams was very sloppy with the penalties and turnovers which kept that game a lot closer than it should have been.

From a purely numbers game, yes.
But if you step back you will realize that the OU offense in '03-'04 was a hell of a lot better than anything led by JJ. The 'Bama defense is stout as hell, but JJ crippled our offense and play calling.
