This is not an excuse for losing, it is simply a call that could potentially have affected the outcome of the game.
Seriously, had the interception been called fairly, would you have been completely confident that the Bama defense could stop LSU. In other words, would you have been nervous that LSU could score? I think so. And that is exactly what a game changing play is.

Alabama won the game fair and square IMO. lsu was outplayed in the 2nd half and was the more fatigued team in crunch time.
"This is not an excuse for losing, it is simply a call that could potentially have affected the outcome of the game."
It was a close call that lacked indisputable evidence to overturn. Calls like that usually go to the home team. If Bama makes that same play in BR it would be a pick. I said before the game that Bama was a little better as a team, better coached, coming off a bye week and playing at home. All those things showed in the 2nd half. They were fresher, tougher and made playswhen they had to in order to win.

lsu fans need to look at their own comments prior to the game to see why they lost really.
Mcelroy sucks so Alabama can't beat us passing - they did.
Alabama can't stop Lafell and Tolliver - for the most part they did.
Alabama can't score on our defense - they scored 24 points and missed on two open TD passes.
Alabama successfully attacked lsu's strong point defensively and contained their strong point offensively. End of story.

Admit the refs hosed your opponent, and move happily on.
Or, at your preferrence, continue to argue against what every college messageboard and sports magazine in the country recognizes was an officiating screw job and come across like Auburn trailer trash.
It's your choice.

The party line on the 'bama boards:
In spite of leading at the end of the half and into the 4th quarter, LSU never had a chance to win this game.
Julio Jones single handedly gave Peterson cramps.
Peterson's interception would've had no impact on the game. It was impossible at that point for LSU to score on 'bama.
All schools are now afraid to play 'bama.

Like I already said Alabama did everything you claimed they had no chance of doing against lsu's football team. they beat you in all areas you said they wouldn't.

+ fricking 10000000
seriously...admitting that was a terrible frick up won't change the fact that you guys won the game.
its not the fact that lee would have thrown a pick or that yall would have still won its the fact that we didn't get an opportunity that we earned to try to win the game. thank god before you go to sleep tonight that peterson was off the field when julio caught that pass...because even WITH cramps all game he STILL made julio his bitch.

Julio wears Patrick Peterson underwear.
Best thing to happen to Bama yesterday, well besides the obvious blown call and blatant refusal to overturn was the cramps suffered by Patrick Peterson. Julio Jones would be in a sanitarium tonight if the cramps had not occured.
So would be many gumps.

Maybe lsu needs to have Midol on the sidelines for Peterson?? That is football my friend. Bama made a great call (good coaching) to exploit him being out of the game on that TD pass.

It was a bad call. Peterson made the INT. Bad call. It did not cost LSU the game...but they should have had the ball and a chance. I will say I do like how Bama's defense played LSU in the 4th.

Yep, they did. If not for a twist of fate, the game would have been much different. Jones is overrated as hell, but PP put the lockdown on his arse like no one else. Just the way it goes.

That was great coaching? Think it took a lot of thought to come up with that? "The guy that has owned us for the entire game is out.. for the love of Bear, this is Julio's only chance! Give him the fricking ball!"

After seeing this, slowing it down, and taking off my Crimson glasses...I have no clue how that was not ruled an INT. Horrible call. The thing that worries me is that all season, in many games, SEC refs have screwed up. Something has to be done about that.

You guys are fawning over PP doing well against an individual (Jones) who has done less in almost every game this season. Meanwhile you are ignoring the fact that Alabama was still able to exploit you with the pass anyway to other players without their leading reciever playing for the second game.
lsu's moral victory - Peterson covered Julio well.

honestly after the uga game we had i could see where they could bitch..i understand it..i didn't agree with it because, like you guys today, i dont think it cost them the game.
we had a huge run back, broke a big run and got the same penalty called on us and there was double the time left on the clock for them than we used to score. they didn't have a big run back, they didnt break a big play and on top of that, cox threw a pick. so if lsu fans cant bitch about today, UGA fans can't bitch about the LSU loss because at least they got the ball and got a chance to do something.
