Saban REFUSED to throw the ball downfield with that QB because he KNEW he was a liability.

If Bama had a QB this year, they would CLEARLY be the best team in the country. CLEARLY.

In fact, I think Alabama is better than LSU even with Mccarron, but lack of execution on ST did them in. (i rooted for LSU just FYI).

GREAT game. I look forward to a possible rematch.

i knew he would screw up with him being so young and never being in a situation like that. the OT possession did him in.

florida just needs to get rid of brantley and get ready for next season. it was clear as day that brissett was the better QB. driskell has just turned out to be a pussy.

McCarron is kind of a joke - coaches clearly had 0 faith in him

zero faith. It was ridiculous. I called the rest of their screens.

Well I mean.. LSU didn't have any faith in their quarterbacks to throw hardly any the whole 4th quarter and overtime and we still got the job done.

He does kind of have that look of sheer terror in his eyes when he goes out there, doesn't he?

In his defense, he went out and faced THAT in his first real college action.

I agree. That D played awesome but got no help from their conservative offense. Where's that poster that kept saying to put in Mccarron last year over McElroy?

The Alabama D, IMO, is the best D in the country, and the best D i have seen all around in a looooong time.

LSU was more clutch, and had better ST backing them up.

McCarron will never be better than GMac or Brodie...

Saban is going to have to gamble on Sims potential next year.

If you can't win a championship with Trent and that D, then McCarron will NEVER win one.

I'd expect him to not be great, but I could see how big his eyes were on the other side of the Swamp during the Alabama game.

I wasn't at LSU, but Brissett just seems to have a more composed, general suckingness rather than abject terror.

Driskel is a true freshman. Give Brissett and Driskel a complete offseason to compete for the job, and see who wins it.

i was actually at the vandy game today. when brissett threw the ball there near the end on 3rd and 8 with like 3 minutes and we got that pass interference call, my dad says brissett actually set that up. how do you set up a pass interference? he looked good escaping pressure. brantley falls to the ground faster than a boys nut sack who just hit puberty.

i don't need it. brissett has only been on campus since the fall and he's clearly better than driskell.

Brantley is playing on 1 ankle basically. He's a liability right now. Hes got guts, but the coaching staff better figure out what to do next week when his other ankle flares up again at halftime.

And nope. I'm not giving up on Driskel. I saw him play in person, and he is something else. He needs time.

so you're willing to give somebody who's been on campus, studying the playbook since the spring a second chance versus somebody who's only been here since the fall who has clearly out performed the number 2 guy?

brantley was amazing in high school was he not? did anybody ever think about the type of talent he was playing against? if brantley was healthy, he would be no better than a 9-3 record. and that's a GREAT year. that is if he had one.

Oh shut up, McCarron played werll enough that we could win this game. if we need something, its a goto receiver and a special teams coach(foater has been pretty reliable in my mind tll this season)
