Yes, youre given a dd214 when you exit the military. Everyone is. You can also obtain one while youre still in it for purposes if needed. There is also a separate document and paperwork that specifically and only relates to your discharge and under what status it is that contains no records of service. Anyone who actually served would know this.

No shite.
That's why it says discharge literally at the top.
Nice try, sport.

So if it is a discharge document, which it isnt its simply a record of service, explain how you can obtain one while youre still in the military for many purposes it may be needed for?
Youre truly a moron. I have 4 copies of my dd214 at my house and only one of them includes the words discharge on it, the one you get when you exit the military. If I pull up Va.gov and look at it online, the word discharge isnt on it.

If this was literally any other administration, you’d agree. But you have TDS, so you must take the wrong side of every argument that is pro Trump or his administration.

What would it be used for prior to EAS?

Not surprising for an idiot who has no idea about what he is talking about to make that comment. You will need your dd214 for many many many things as you go about your life. Your work, your taxes, any benefits you apply for, school, any attempt at getting a loan, etc etc etc.
This is why I have so many copies, in case I lose one, and one copy is just for my gf to have in case she needs it for anything like the above.
Again, showing your ignorance

A million things.
One of the many off the top of my head, say youre a reservist who wants to apply to college while youre still in. They will need a copy of your dd214 if you did a 12 year tour of duty and want to take advantage of the post 9/11 GI bill

It's 2025. Just about everyone accepts service/benefits verification letters.

First dates, second dates, third dates, job interviews, cocktail parties, veterans discounts at restaurants, you can use your DD214 for really anything and anywhere, right?

Again false. I get 80% disability from the VA and theres many many things that will not accept that benefit letter and want a dd214.

You asked for an example and I gave one. Now you think youre insulting me? If youre so confident in your assessment, I ask again, if i post my dd214 will you delete your account??
No because youre a bitter fig who only post insults behind a keyboard

Is this supposed to be an insult? I obtained a back injury in iraq doing an air assault mission where my clip slipped and a fell 10 feet on my back directly which resulted in eroding catelidge in my spine.
I also get it for mental health related things like panic disorder. Im not ashamed of any of this so your attempt at doing so, from someone I dont respect and consider a total idiot, falls flat

Veterans like you spreading their individual experiences as gospel is why so many have a hard time navigating shite after they separate.
You can do almost everything with VA letters today.

I'm just pointing out that I could tell you were a reservist.

Off the top of my head you cant use the post 9/11 GI bill for college with one because it is based on time spent in a combat zone. You also cant use one for acquiring finances to say buy a town house, which me and my gf did a year or so ago. You cant use one for basically anything that requires an actual explanation for WHAT you actually did. Stop trying to act like you know what youre talking about when youve demonstrated you dont.

Ok so I have my dd214 pulled up online from Va.gov and have redacted things. If i post it here and it shows I clearly wasnt, will you delete your TD account? Why not make the bet if youre not a bitch?
