Some of you have allowed US domestic politics to warp your brains to the point of no return. I don’t give a shite about Ukraine generally. But the fact that so many seem incapable of understanding Kiev’s position in all this is mind-blowing to me.
There isn’t a nation on earth that wouldn’t do the same thing.

Um, they’ve been doing that for over three years now without pause. The only trump card they are holding is the nuclear ace. Of course, if they play it, everybody’s dead including them.

I am honestly not sure that the West would respond with nuclear weapons if Russia deployed them in Ukraine. The risk is too great.
At the same time, Russia won’t use them because it would be the end of their legitimacy as a world power. Not even Beijing would stand by them. China is too pragmatic for that.

He’s proposed ceasefire before. Russia won’t agree,

Some of us really just want the USA to stop spend our taxpayer money on foreign wars fought on foreign soil. I really couldn't care less about Ukraine or Russia. Putin=dictator. Zelensky=manipulative, dishonest shitbag who canceled elections in Ukraine. Both are pieces of shite as far as I'm concerned. We have enough problems domestically and should be focusing our efforts here.
I'm sure you have a rebuttal to my argument here...

I mean, do explain your reasoning?
Russia all out assaults ukraine ok
Ukraine all out assaults russia - NOT OK

I don’t understand how you fit Zelensky into a “manipulator” box, considering his position and securing aid for his country is his job. Elections were canceled because they could literally not be held with the population disruption and enormous migration to Poland etc. The United States is basically the only nation on the planet that has ever held regularly scheduled elections in times of national crisis. But otherwise I don’t have disagreement with this post.
It’s the cheering on Russia from your prior post that I don’t understand. Moscow is just objectively in the wrong throughout the entire ordeal, going back to 2014. We shouldn’t be involved monetarily or on the ground at all. Doesn’t mean that cheerleading nations that invade their neighbors in naked land grabs is a good thing either though.

I know that the US would not strike because of Trump but I think the EU would. There is just too much enmity between Britain and Russia and France and Russia.
I also think China would take the opportunity to eliminate Russia as any kind of eastern power. They have a strong hunger for Siberia’s minerals. As Anna of Ukraine said so eloquently, “There are no friends among predators.”
Ukraine has shown that Russia is a paper tiger with nukes, which may or may not have been maintained under Putin. Their military certainly wasn’t.

The UK and France aren’t touching their nuclear weapons without Washington’s approval.

Trump is the first modern US President who is not the leader of the free world. He has gleefully abdicated that role and the world is taking him seriously. Europe is no longer a vassal state to the US.

Not too sure about that. If anything serious happened that threatens Europes security, every head of state in Europe will be on the phone begging for daddy to come help them.
This is all just posturing for domestic consumption insofar as anyone is saying that the US and Europe are decoupling.

86 zelensky is the best solution

I get your questioning of my post. I do. I really do. But tell me why it is that we need to be involved?

Monetarily or boots on ground? We don’t.
Politically? Because we either want to be the preeminent nation state on earth or we don’t. If we don’t, someone else will fill that void. It’s in our interest to be the world’s arbiter when it comes to these conflicts.

Was pretty stupid to attack those airplanes. Forcing Russia's hand.

So you think Ukraine and its armed forces would just stop today if Zelensky was deposed?
Posted on 6/4/25 at 8:22 pm to TrailDawg77
You've answered my question about our involvement. We don't need to be and shouldn't. The Lindsay Grahams in our Congress are profiting off of endless wars a la Ukraine/Russia and need to be removed from office
Posted on 6/4/25 at 8:28 pm to LookSquirrel
I'm going to be laughing my arse off when Zelensky is inevitably cut off and surrounded, abandoned my his EU masters & forced to worry about maintaining an active coke habit while living that "Holy frick the Ruskies have us surrounded" bunker lifestyle. Didn't end well for the last guy to take that road, if memory serves me correctly.

I propose we send the NAFO nerds, Mrs Lindsay Graham and DaNang Dick to the front lines.
