I listened to an ex DOJ attorney a couple of weeks ago saying there has been a severe brain drain at the justice department since Holder took over. My guess is that Steve Wynn can hire better attorneys then the ones going after him.
If he's guilty then pop him. If this is yet another vindictive witch hunt then I hope the DOJ is exposed.

The lengths that casino companies go to in order to comply with Title 31. They are fanatical about compliance with Part 1021. Title 31 compliance procedures are regularly reviewed by internal auditors, external auditors, state regulators and the IRS. Without specific knowledge of non-compliance any DOJ investigation is merely a fishing expedition.
The information that the DEA is involved raises the idea that the investigation involves money from drug trafficking. If Wynn is in compliance with reporting suspicious activity as defined by Title 31, then I don't know what the issues are.
The only thing I could imagine that would be an issue is the Wynn Casino operation in Macau. But Title 31 only applies to casinos in the United States.
