You can blame the NFL/Owners for this disrespect of the anthem/flag BS!

The solution to prevent the coddled players from embarrassing themselves/team/city/country is so simple!
If a player wants to honor the country and the brave soldiers who have given life and limb to allow these gifted athletes the opportunity to make millions of dollars playing a game, then come out and stand with the fans. If a player does not want to participate on the playing of the National Anthem and pay respect to our military keep your arse in the locker room until kickoff, problem solved!

Based on the Steelers org, this will probably end up being the league's solution. It'll still piss off the people who are pissed about the kneeling, though.

That's what needs to be done, everyone involved is happy and the contentious situation is diffused.

Yep. I don't know who made the decision, seems like Mike Tomlin may have had a big say in it, but it was the best solution available.
