Modern Family’ Star Refuses To Have Picture Taken With Homophobe Rick Santorum
Seriously, this is par for the course for modern liberals.
And shame on you Rex for being surprised that a person who disproves of gay marriage might still enjoy a funny TV show that has gay characters. That's the type of shallow, narrow-minded, bigoted thinking you usually rail against.

I candidly admit I didn't read the article. It's a Rex thread, so I knew the article wouldn't say what it was supposed to say.
Look, jackass... did you happen to catch the question mark in my thread title? Do you have any idea what question marks are used for?
There is not a more honest poster on this board than myself. I can't help it if people such as you can't process words and sentences. And your cute little ploy of trying to straddle the fence to keep yourself ingratiated with wingnuts here is no reflection upon myself.

Is it because there is a gay couple on the show? That doesn't make him a hypocrite.
I'm anti-serial-killer..I guess I'd be a hypocrite if wanted to take a picture with Michael Hall

Have you ever watched the show? It's more than just comedy at a gay couple's expense. It clearly ADVOCATES and legitimizes gay marriage.

Dexter doesn't advocate serial killing... so your little attempt at analogy is comical. Is that why you included your laughing emoticon?

In the scenario set out in your OP, Santorum is the mature adult, and Stonestreet is the petulant child.
Stop and think for a moment. Can you imagine the level of narcissism, immaturity, and petulance involved in arriving at the conclusion that you will not take a photo with a man and his children because that man's opinion on gay marriage differs from your own?
Eric Stonestreet should be ashamed of himself. He did his cause no favors with his behavior.

I don't advocate or support abortion but that didn't stop be from holding my friend for weeks after she had one. It's called love and tolerance.

You used your thread title to disingenuously insinuate that he was a fan of the show. You did this despite the fact the article you linked did not provide any objective/corroborative evidence the incident even occurred. You simply have a statement from the actor saying he rebuffed the request from the individual in question.
Honesty? Indeed.
I find this to be a fairly typical malady of those of a Progressive/Liberal bent. They want these incidents to occur so they fabricate them out of whole cloth to demonstrate how they are fighting against the forces of evil. Sad actually.
Debate the merits of the argument. Honestly.

I can't really fault Stonestreet, as long as this is an honest conviction on his part. If he's doing it to protect his future earnings potential in the most liberal industry in the country, that's another matter.
I'm intolerant of serial liars, which is why I have absolutely no respect for Rex.

Let me tell you something about gay marriage. The way to win people over to the pro-gay marriage side is to let them get to know gays in everyday life. That's how the argument will be won, when it became a "people" issue and not a philosophical one. Hell, Dick Cheney became a gay marriage supporter before Obama did. Why? Because he has a gay daughter. Stonestreet missed a golden opportunity to spread some goodwill by acting like a selfish child.

Progressive purity. They are evangelical in their fervor towards their own form of religion. Fundamentalists in the truest sense of the word.

I used a question mark because he's apparently a fan but that you might form your own opinion of the matter. For that you called me a liar. Typical of this board. I don't lie. It's YOU who lied.

Here's a CORRECT analogy... if a show openly ADVOCATES murder would you allow your children to watch it, and would you want yourself and your family in a photo with an actor who publicly agrees with that advocacy? I wouldn't, and I don't think you would, either.
Posted on 7/26/14 at 1:46 pm to Rex
So you're comparing advocation of gay marriage to advocating for murder?
