That inflation began with Carter. Reagan got rid of it.

The inflation in the 80s was caused by government overspending and high gas prices from the OPEC embargo. Basically the same situation as now except now its exponentially worse because raising interest rates from 0 to double digits with $30T in debt to service would destroy us

Lets pretend Trump was competent enough to get re-elected, what would he have done differently to prevent inflation after he printed trillions of dollars and handed them out to everyone in the country?

The 2 drivers are spending and energy prices. I can guarantee 1 of those wouldn't be a problem. With potato brain we have both and the resultant 80s inflation.

How many stimmys was Trump responsible for? Oil is a global commodity that was disrupted by a global lockdown, so not sure i agree with you that the US president dictates international oil prices

Gas prices. Everything stems from there.

Then perhaps educate yourself on the EOs potato brain signed relating to energy immediately upon taking office

Zero (same with Potato).

You need to take a civics course.

The power of the purse starts in Congress.

Under Trump we exported more oil than we imported. That had not been done in 70 years before Trump.
Today, that's gone with Biden. International disruptions have bigger impacts on countries that rely on imports.
