Well I guess Archie Bunker was ahead of his time when he said this to his daughter.

Daughter: Did you know that 65% of the murders were committed with a hand gun?
Archie: Would it make you feel any better if they were pushed out of windows?
I only say this because if some one wants to kill they will find a way to do it with or without a gun or a knife. You can ban all you want a murderer will still murder someone.
There is another one where he gives a rebuttal to an editorial on TV where he talks about gun control being the first steps to communism. It devolves into an argument to prevent skyjacking by passing out guns like peanuts to each of the passengers.
