I think most people would agree, that if it wouldn’t be for all these mysterious extra paper ballots appearing out of nowhere, these recounts would have been over. So the time has come to eliminate the paper ballot and go all electronic. There is still an issue with creating a paper trail, true absentee voting when you are out of town during early voting and military voting.

But, I think I may have come up with a way to secure each vote (paper record) by using a secure QR code that is printed when casting your vote. The QR code would store the vote and vote information so that no 2 are alike and printed on secure receipts like a lottery ticket. That way they cannot be copied and refed to be counted twice in a recount.

Don't you know that poor people and old folks are technologically impaired? Why do you want to disenfranchise so many voters?!

Honestly, I wish I had a printed Recipt, that shows my vote was counted in these cases.

This should have occurred after the 2000 Presidential election.

I am sorry but this argument doesn’t fly with me anymore, if you can use an Obama phone you should be able to vote electronically.

Heck the Louisiana electronic voting machines (non Election Day ones) are simple enough and are like a paper ballot that you just push a spot on the paper and the LED indicators tell you what you voted for.

Not only is this not happening, the opposite is happening

The push is toward paper, or at least electronic with paper backing

Part of the bullshite scandal in Georgia was that we were electronic-only.

That is why I came up with the QR Code. The QR code would be unique for each electronic record printed on a tamper resistant paper like a Lottery ticket. Also, you need a reader to read the vote so you can’t just pullout Republican votes.

Any patent attorneys want to go half on this patent.

I voet on paper. I walk up and hand my picture ID which is then scanned. My name pops up as a registered voter and I am handed a paper ballot. I fill out the ballot and then I go over to the machine and enter it myself. It pops up noting another vote was registered.

There is a guys watching all this happen

So you have a count of how many people were given ballots, how many were processed and then a stack of provisional that have not been counted yet. The vote count and paper ballots are sent into the election officials.

I do like your thought on the QR code. just more security.

We should do something about absentee ballots also. It appears some places have no clue how many were given out and how many got counted. Which is why they can just "find" ballots out in space somewhere.
