The hill

I realize this is an old article, but an attorney friend brought it up when he claimed Jared was already fricked. Here is his case:

False statements on a foreign disclosure is a felony. Kushner committed this felony when he submitted his contacts the first time. His indictment is sealed. It will be released at a politically appropriate time where trump cannot end the probe. Basically, they are holding on to this until they have all of the goods on everyone. I’m not buying it, but it was a civil discussion from a reputable attorney. What say you?

Waiting too long could mess up statute of limitations or speedy trial rules. The part about waiting until trump is out of power is where you lost me. If trump wanted to pardon him. He doesn’t have to wait for an indictment to do that.

I’m a lawyer and I hold a clearance, your opening sentence is false, completely erroneous, and a blatant mischaracterization of what the facts actually are involving Kushner’s amendments (ironic isn’t it - since that’s exactly what your alleging Kushner should be fired and prosecuted for here).

Look up the word “false.” There is a difference in knowingly and willfully providing a false statement and providing a statement that is accurate to the best of your knowledge but is later found to be incorrect.

Furthermore, if I tell you to write down every contact from a foreign country you have ever known or done business with, now, will your list be 100% accurate the first and only time? I would be willing to agree that most people have foreign contacts on their Facebook friend list they don’t even know about. So yeah tell your expert lawyer friend good luck with proving a crime here.

Thanks for the response, but geez shoot the messenger why don’t you. I’m totally not buying this crap, but constantly get a your not an attorney type attitude. Sincerely though, thanks for your POV.

Sorry, I realize that might have come off harsher than intended. No offense meant, I guess I am just tired of the blatant bullying and barrage of false claims that are aimed at anyone connected with Trump. My apologies.

No worries. I assume his rebuttable will be something along the lines of “you don’t understand the seriousness of disclosure of federal docs” or something else vague. It appears my logic is stronger than his federal law skills.

ETA he is a criminal defense attorney
