I admit I was somewhat skeptical (and not sure I believe him still), but it's such a NON-ISSUE.
On the other hand, why in the world would he make this claim unless he was 110% sure that nobody was going to come forward and say..."Yeah I had consensual sex with him in high school."

The reason is simple. If his argument is that the Dems have just found a person to lie, then by saying he was a virgin till after HS invites women to actually come forward and contradict him. No man who had sex in HS would go on TV and say 'I never had sex in HS'. Those women are still alive and won't like it. If they don't come forward it confirms his credibility.
