Not to mention SFP is talking in theory here when we already have real world evidence of Israel F35 avoiding the S300/400 in a mission. There would be no air superiority in Ukraine

Education Rankings is not by number of people
You can compare the number of scholars from US vs China, and then compare the total publications and citations as the list above

According to a Nature analysis, nearly 14,000 retraction notices were issued in 2023, with roughly three-quarters of them involving a Chinese co-author, indicating a significant number of retracted papers with Chinese authors. Dude they send their kids here to improve their STEM education.
They are way better then they were 20 years ago, but Chinese universities are still not as elite as European and American universities.
Maybe they get there, still way better than the rest of the world, but they are not there today.
