We live in a Corporatocracy. Big Pharma, Big Tech, Big Corporations run the world. The person in the White House isn't going to change that.

And eventually, if not already, they'll want the h1b abuse to stop too. As it'll start to affect them or their future children negatively. Just like the American Latinos that want mass deportation of illegals.

I briefly dated an Indian. She told me all the smart ones are already here in the United States and the ones who are still in India are low iq and dumb.

Also, how they come here and succeed is say 3 brothers come here (legally or illegally) they all live in the same house/apartment and split the rent. They pool their money together and either outright buy or get a favorable govt loan for a gas station/Dunkin’ donut/Dairy Queen/motel etc. They buy the first one only employ family then they buy brother #2 one. Then brother #3 gets one. Then they start over and brother #1 gets his second business of choice and they keep going until they all have 4 or 5. This enables all of them to then make enough money to buy a house in cash and everything else never having to get a loan for anything or pay one penny in interest.

‘White’ people won’t do this. They rarely will pool resources together and cram 16 people into a 2 bedroom apartment and help each other buy businesses etc. If you are willing to sacrifice those first 2 or 3 years it’s a brilliant way to become very wealthy and Indians have perfected it which is why they dominate hotel/motels, gas stations etc.

Those people aren't going away, so find ways to fix it instead of the lazy way out. A way that will only continue to drag things down.

People aren't concerned with the skimming off the top best of the best from other nations, as much as, the wide net being thrown and dumped them over here. The people we bring here need to be helping the locals be better not replacing them.

The corporatizing of this country was the worst thing that could happen. We've protected big industry but failed in producing entrepreneurs.

We are a nation of cubicle workers who cant do anything outside of their certifications.

We used to push small business, now we push people into cubicles.

I get it you don't care about unfettered immigration, for whatever reason, which is your prerogative. I prefer we find ways to fix this issue instead of giving up on it. To each their own.

I do.

You can have unfettered immigration if you dont have welfare. If you have welfare you cant have open borders.

But I understand reality. Birth rates are dropping quickly and people dont want to work.

Not saying they have to find great employment, but we can find ways to change things positively for them. And importing people is just countering that effort.

I disagree. Probably a third or more of native born Americans are worthless. You cant force them to become productive.

India now has the 5th largest economy in the world.

While the current administration, and many on this thread have denounced them, watch Trump pivot hard towards Modi, and he better, its the only ally we have in that part of the world save Japan.

And we are back building many military bases in the Philippines and no doubt paying billions in kickbacks to do it. Anything for the MIC. We should be spending it on sat technology versus antiquated naval bases, but the MIC couldnt hide the money as well.
