Could a movement to vote out all incumbents catch on? Seems like something the left and right could agree on.

We’ve been saying we want term limits but ignoring the fact that we can create our own term limits by always voting out the incumbent.

Don’t allow these people to make politics a career.

It doesn't work that way, not in the real world. It is very rare to primary an incumbent out. In this situation you would have to primary the entire party and that isn't feasible.

Even if you did, people are disgusted with republicans across the political spectrum.

Moderates/independents will be brainwashed shortly by the media that Trump himself was running around the capitol stabbing people.

MAGA folks, who were the bulk of the 75 million who voted for Trump, are incensed at the entire party abandoning Trump in the last 24 hours.

The party could have recovered if enough elected republicans didn't publicly denounce Trump like they have today.

That ship has sailed and the republican will be reduced to libertarian size and influence.

Something new will rise and take its place of course. There is always the yin and yang in politics. It will need a strong leader though and I dont really see one right now.

I agree with sitting home if an incumbent wins. Most GOP vote a straight ticket and these incumbents get rewarded for bad behavior. I've not voted for a LOT of incumbents. However, I support 6 terms in the US House. 2 terms has ZERO chance of being in a amendment. 6 terms has some chance of getting support. I support 24 year total House and Senate. Would be fine with 2, 3 or 4 Senate terms (24 years max). I think that has more of a chance of getting passed. That would prevent lifetime membership we see now. Biden, for example would have long been gone.

Not leaving, but I will not vote for any incumbent that has served more than 2terms. If incumbent wins primary, then I'm staying home on election day.

I don’t know where I go ultimately, but plan to hang on while I figure it out. As a Georgian, I eagerly await the opportunity to primary Kemp, Duncan and Raffesberger in 2022. Beyond that, I don’t know, but your general rule about incumbency is not a bad thought.

I have spent considerable time thinking about third parties and I am not convinced of their viability. You need scale to win elections. So, for now, I think I will action my emotions through seeking to primary the incompetent or compromised.

Can you leave a party you were never a member of?

What are the Republicans going to do to get people like me to believe they’re worth voting for? Refusing to write checks to help Americans while sending even more money overseas?

Perhaps another omnibus bill?

I know! Give us some more brown people to bomb. I was a lot younger on my first two trips but I hear Syria has fairly agreeable weather this time of year.

Take your fake red nose and shove it with your fake "Why your leaving" post up you know where! As long as elections are rigged we are just minions paying the lavish lifestyle our overlords. And they are all happy with that, as are people like you who think it is FREEDOM, but it's not.

And that's all I have to say about that!

The Republican party doesn't represent their constitutients. They represent their lobbies just like the Dems.

The GOP dissolving will only increase the demise of the two party system. As soon as you red or dead's realize this the better.
