Fusion was working for the US law firm that was defending Prevezon, a Russian holding company, on charges by the Justice Department of money laundering. Veselnitskaya was also involved in representing Prevezon. Fusion's meetings which Veselnitskaya were in regard to that lawsuit and the court hearing that was held the morning of the Trump Tower meeting.
