Because it is one of the few topics the media knows they can attack Trump on.
Abortion is murder. I don't care how you paint it; it just is. The media's greatest evil was brainwashing the majority of people that it isn't.

No American should be able to lawfully kill their children because it is convenient for them to do so. Hiding behind federalism doesn’t change that.

Because Trump is now labeled as the Anti-Abortion guy even though he is a states right decision guy. Hell, Ruth Bader Ginsburg did not agree with the legal basis for the original Roe vs Wade decision. But, now Trump is suddenly the “Anti-Abortion” guy. WTF?

Because it’s a mind frick. This is an issue that strips away rights. Typically, it’s the liberals who restrict freedoms, not the Republicans.

Responsibility is a quality of a just society that allows it to prosper. The Marxists need to tell the society they wish to conquer that “it’s ok to be irresponsible, we will support your lack of morals as you work towards that 10th punch on your frequent customer card”. Plus it contributes to the shrinking of the US population. Destabilization of traditional American values allows the Marxists to chop up America into tiny pieces and sell it off to the world.
