Why don’t we try something new?

Why do we waste time with courts with scum like this? It costs the taxpayers money that is not well spent. Plus he’ll be back in prison getting three squares a day, all the drugs he wants, all the sex he wants. Prison is actually a reward for his crimes. And even if he were given the death penalty it would be AT LEAST 20 years and untold thousands in tax payers dollars on appeals before he is executed.
The day of his arrest he should have been shot in the head, his body thrown in a dumpster where later his body is burned with all the other trash in a landfill.

The entire justice system requires overhaul.
If you favor the criminals, the populace becomes victims of repeat offenders and there's a break in trust that the people have for government as the government is a failure at protecting them. What we're seeing is a conspiracy to violate the rights of citizens, by letting criminals roam freely among them. It could be prosecuted but "they" want it this way.
If you favor law enforcement and prosecutors, you get abuse of power and innocent people go to jail. And again you get a break in trust in government.
Our current system seems to oscillate from one to the other. It requires overhaul from top to bottom. The biggest let down to me is the judiciary. They are there for justice and they fail that every day.

I don't believe in capital punishment. I believe the punishment should be worse than death; like making sand out of boulders 7 days a week for 16 hours per day.

I thought black lives matter?

We should be harsher; you are right about that. But you make a couple of mistakes that show a profound misunderstanding of how the world works.
You say we should kill guys like this “the day they are arrested”. Come on. We would be killing innocent people right and left. There is no time to gather evidence or for witnesses to come forward.
We “waste time with courts” because the alternative to a jury of citizens is having our fate determined by government officials. Imagine how powerful our politicians would be if they could summarily arrest and execute us. The right to a jury trial is a fundamental right to stave off tyranny.
You also say that “prison is a reward” for them, which is absurd. Criminals tend to avoid being caught instead of turning themselves in because they don’t want to go to prison.

Not the case for this guy. There are plenty of murderers who confess...capital punishment should be swift in these particular cases.

Judges need to be petrified about reoffending criminals they put back on the street. If they had any sort of liability, most of this would cease.
Why is it fair for cops to go to jail for poor decisions yet not judges?

Mfer can hold a grudge. The system absolutely failed her and her child. Chicago is such a shite hole.

There are two issues with your perspective. Firstly, unless mind control becomes feasible, you cannot force anyone to work. Secondly, instead of viewing it as punishment, consider it as a cost-effective solution to a problem.
The main concern with capital punishment is that it must be proven beyond any doubt, not just reasonable doubt. For instance, if a murder is captured on video in a public setting, the perpetrator is in possession of the weapon, and there are eyewitnesses confirming the act, then there's no issue. However, in cases like a woman killing her husband without witnesses, although there's strong suspicion, execution cannot be justified because there's a possibility, however slim, that someone else committed the crime.

Bail reform
Jail reform
General stupidity, let the recidivism continue.

Nah. No white people or cops were involved.

Years ago that is the way it was done. If a man abused a woman, her family members would handle the situation as they saw fit.

You are way off base. Trash isn't burned in a landfill.
