There were several and even though the argument went way over your head here goes... The MAJORITY in California VOTED against gay marriage on multiple occasions in the 2000's and gay marriage WAS ILLEGAL because of MAJORITY rule in California... MAJORITY RULE was the issue at hand which flew right over your head...

So the majority of CA voted against gay marriage and gay marriage was illegal. So what? Your discussion of that is a combination illogical and stupid.
quote:The poster did not give any dates on the votes, jackel.
In the most liberal state in America, the vast majority voted against a cornerstone of the lib agenda.

You said the 1990's and I said the 2000's...
Why cant you just admit you are a dumbass and move on or die...

You made a rather stupid comment about "1990's and Rasmussen polls",
Yup. He was wrong on time period AND confused votes with polls.
A simple, "yeah, I fricked that up" is really all he needs to do here.
quote:EXACTLY. It had immense national coverage for months leading up to the election and there was a shite ton of hand wringing when it went the way it did.
Prop 8 wasn't that long ago and was a huge deal to anyone paying attention to national affairs at the time.
Liberals were so stunned by what blacks did that election that they had to figure out how to blame Mormons!

So the majority of CA voted against gay marriage and gay marriage was illegal.
And you posted acting like he was making shite up.

Well, you cared a fair amount when you thought you had a point about California opinions in the 90s.
OF COURSE now that your initial response blew the frick up, you "don't care".
Yeah. We've never seen THAT act before.
Heh, dumbass, the poster didn't give any dates and I didn't pay any attention to it being votes because I assumed it was a discussion of current events.
I guess if cared about gay marriage as much as you I would know that important, historical fact about the CA gay marriage vote in 2008.

Your reading comprehension sucks some serious arse then...

Nice try but huge heavily covered stories are huge heavily covered stories whether they are stories YOU want to be huge and heavily covered or not.
Your original response confused votes with polls and displayed ignorance of a very key moment in the history of a major political issue.
Suck it up buttercup. You displayed your ignorance for all.

You are so stupid it's scary.
Tell me how could what I said possibly be construed as me accusing him of making it up???

Makes me think tex either is pretty young or just started following politics in the last few years.
Prop 8 was one of the biggest political stories of 2008 after the campaign/election of Obama and the start of the Recession.

Here's a link to your post with what YOU quoted to respond to.
Take "Gay Marriage" as an example. Three times, 3, the majority of Californians overwhelmingly voted against it. In the most liberal state in America, the vast majority voted against a cornerstone of the lib agenda.
You literally quoted the vote part and responded about Polls.

That would honestly be his only defense.
If he was an adult in 2008, then his ignorant is embarrassing.

I was an adult in 2008. And I knew what prop 8 was about. And if I knew then what the vote was, I didn't give a shite about what CA voters (or anyone else) thought about gay marriage.
Posted on 12/13/18 at 2:21 pm to texridder

You certainly did earlier when you referenced Rasmussen polls or polls from the 1990's...

Obviously, gay marriage is a mount Everest topic for you. It's not for me.

Nah. I'm just an informed person with a good memory. Sorry for your deficiencies. Maybe you can improve upon them. Hope so.

The point, you miss it completely
A huge portion of the liberal agenda failed repeatedly when it came to a vote and only became legal due to a combination of judicial overreach and politicians who basically said “frick the law, I’m doing what I want to do” like Gavin Newsome.
