I think Americans’ lives are too good right now to ever engage in a civil war. We’re the most prosperous nation in the history of the world. And I don’t know how bad it would have to get for a civil war to be on the table.

I don’t know how a war would shake out but I think much of it would have to do with control of the government. If you ignore that aspect, and consider only the Left vs Right and the people who would comprise those factions, I can’t envision a scenario where a bunch of blue-haired, androgynous, soy boys aren’t slaughtered.

No one I know proposes civil war.

Any civil war would be more economic than actual fighting, and this is where the left would win as left leaning areas produce a disproportionate amount of economic activity.

Furthermore, the right leaning economic activity is often related to natural resources, which are easier to replace than the economic activity of the left leaning ones (technology, entertainment, tourism, services).
