for that to be a real question, you'd have to started with the supposition that the election would be fair to begin with.
now, it was possible to win in spite of it being unfair - but nothing could make it fair.
Same as with 2016 - the DEMs tried the same thing then, but just had not prepared for the LEGITIMATE tsunami of Trump votes that poured in.
for 2020 they not only prepared to have enough ballots in reserve to overcome ANY Trump surge
