Why did the FBI announce publicly an inv of Hillary, but keep secret an inv of trump?

Comey was conducting “investigations” of both candidates.
He made public (very) his probe into the Clintons.
He kept almost completely secret his probe into Trump. Not only that, but the CIA’s joint operation to probe Trump with the Australian, British, and other foreign governments was kept quiet.
Why?

Because the NYPD found the Weiner laptop when they raided/arrested him. When looking at laptop for Porn and oddities they found some 33,000 Hillary emails on the laptop that were of classified in nature. NYPD freaked out and told FBI "you need to handle this or we will go public about it from our office". So, Comey had no choice but to take it public.

First, you have to remember the FBI (Comey), NEVER thought she was going to lose. No matter what.
They didn't make the Trump Operation public because after she got elected the operation and evidence of its existence were going to disappear forever.
Comey held the press conference about Hillary because he was doing damage control for the coming Clinton Presidency. He knew with the tarmac meeting and other issues that the emails would not go away after the election. Comey was attempting to clear his name/department and make sure that after the election no-one could claim that the FBI covered up the Hillary investigation because of politics.
Never in a million years did Comey think the email announcement would cause her dam to break.
They never thought she would lose.

Because Hillary’s investigation was the investigation of a crime, and Trump’s investigation was the perpetration of a crime.

Announcing an investigation does alert the cats to all start covering their shite. Feinstein's releasing Glenn Simpson's testimony served the same purpose.
Hillary and her team were guilty so they announced the investigation.
Trump and his team were innocent so the investigation went unannounced.

they had 2 people under surveillance yet, didn't tell trump about it when the campaign hired the 2. how in the world is that NOT a setup?
