Masks didn't work then. It came in waves. Shutdowns lead to a depression. Since they didn't let the virus run it's course, they prolonged herd immunity for a year longer than it had to.

COVID is no different. Dumb fricks went for the shutdown. Told people to wear masks.

So much stupidity.

There will always be viral outbreaks that kill people. You have no choice but to let it run through the population to develop immunity.

And the vacine for the Spanish flu didn't come until the 1940's.

Well considering in some places they were stacking the young and healthy like cordwood, I don’t think I would have rushed to join the herd.

History isn’t taught anymore. Kids instead learn 17 ways to add 5 + 5 by subtracting the remainder of a division problem, but they don’t teach how we are very much experiencing a real-life “Fahrenheit 451” society right now.

Covid is different due to the fact that the world is much smaller than it was during the Spanish flu. We travel a frick ton more than we did in 1920. That’s the difference.

What’s your point - that because the world is smaller going full retard is okay?
