Why ban fireworks if you can't enforce it

Seems like a waste of tax payer money to have cops police this thing knowing they will not enforce it.

When I lived in GA you had to travel to other states to buy them. For some folks that's enough deterrent.
I also don't remember people shooting off fireworks in the neighborhood. We would go out to the hunting camp to shoot them.

It is the typical move to enforce it by f it becomes overly dangerous or someone gets an attitude and then the cop has a violation that he can enforce.
Chances are, if you’re just having fun and you’re asked to stop, they won’t do anything.
It’s when you pull out “yo fone” and record you talking back to them is when they have a reason to haul a punk in jail for fireworks.

Yet they collect overtime which comes from the tax payer money
