That's actually very surprising to me and awesome. He has an album called Friendly Fire. Fitting that someone you'd assume to be a lefty (and probably is a liberal) would be taking this from the wokemob.

Awesome comeback (although MLKJ and Ghandi were pretty pink--I'll allow it in spirit)

A negative x a negative = a positive

The rule of math works sometimes in the human race I guess

This could well be part of it. He probably isn't a conservative, but I give him credit for apparently having a decent amount of common sense, especially since the primary person who raised him was Yoko Ono.

I'll have to revisit this thread after my mind stops spinning.

I’m pretty sure John Lennon pitch in to buy bullet proof vests for the NYPD once upon a time, and donated money to widows and children of the officers killed in the line of duty.

Boy, would the Left cancel his arse today. That was a totally different era when even most liberals were tolerable. You always had your jerks like Jane Fonda, but now 90% of the Left make Fonda look like a Girl Scout.

Being liberal is not the same as being socialist, just as being conservative is not the same as being fascist. The Great Polarization of the latter part of the 20th century just makes it seem that way. I think most people are moderates and are getting tired of being labeled left wing or right wing.

I was joking. But liberal for sure, like his parents, but his parents main message was/is "peace". Trump achieved a win for peace. As John Lennon's son, he clearly feels(and rightfully so) he should acknowledge it.
You know, John Lennon and Reagan once met on the set of a Monday Night Football game. It is said they got along splendidly and Reagan proceeded to explain the rules of American football to him.

Gifford tells the story better than I. The last minute of this video. The first two minutes are about a Lennon interview.

Back in the '70's I remember Lennon appearing on Monday Night Football with Howard Cosell. I was watching it live. But I don't remember Reagan being there on the set.

Of course, it has only been 40+ years ago and I have slept since then.

If you rewatch the interview, he speaks about the difference in rules between Rugby and American football. According to Gifford, it was Reagan who had briefed him on the rules. Lennon got a quick football lesson from the "Gipper" himself.

This video explains the Reagan connection.

Lennon wanted very much to become an American citizen at the time. And he was doing everything possible to show his love for America. If he were alive today, I have little doubt that he would stand up against the propaganda being force-fed to the American people.

Thanks for posting the video. I did not know this but I never forgot Lennon's appearance.

I remember being very surprised at the time and immediately started calling some friends and telling them to turn on Monday Night Football.

Well, he did mention his and Ringo's new album at the end. I'm thinking it was his 'Walls and Bridges' album.

Many have forgotten about Lennon's love for America. But at the time, he was quite vocal about it.

Lower taxes than England. So he decided to become an American.
