Many may not appreciate this comparison, but there were two radio gods from the 80s to present: Rush and Howard Stern. It's too bad Stern went full-on TDS retard.
It's hard to say who could take up Rush's mantle because he, like Stern, honed their craft on the radio before taking on other forms of media. They were able to take a 1-dimension medium and transform it into a dynamic, engaging and entertaining world.
Rush's on-the-spot analysis, relatability and wit were truly amazing talents. He had an amazing voice for radio as well. It will be some time to fill this void.

Limbaugh became a “thing” because he was a lone voice. Now, there are hundreds of folks broadcasting the same things. No one stands out.
