This bullshite clownshow. Do you think it is right that the left can subpoena (I don't think they can) people, but the right cannot?

Isn't the appropriate time for that after articles of impeachment have been drafted?

That depends on the reason for impeachment. Is it purely a political stunt?

July 21
Taylor: “Gordon, one thing Kurt and I talked about yesterday was... President Zelensky is sensitive about Ukraine being taken seriously, not merely as an instrument in Washington domestic, reelection politics.”

Sondland's reply: “Absolutely, but we need to get the conversation started and the relationship built, irrespective of the pretext.

(Pretext = Ukraine being taken seriously and as more than just an instrument in Washington domestic, reelection politics')

It quite literally says:
"We need to get the conversation started and relationship built, even if it involves Ukraine feeling used as an instrument in Washington domestic, reelection politics"

It would be highly irresponsible and ill-advised to lay back and chill until an actual trial starts. Does that happen in courthouses? It's called pre-trial procedure.

Bill, I believe you are incorrect about President Trump’s intentions. The President has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo’s of any kind.

This is clear text not some subjective bullshite.

It doesn't need interpretation. Just let the words speak for themselves. Why interpret anything, unless it's to change what they are saying to suit your needs.

So you want Republicans to subpoena individuals to.. testify on behalf of the president during an investigation of potential articles of impeachment?

I think we both understand republicans want this power to sway public opinion (and yes the dems want this too -- but it's their turn at the moment)

BMY interprets that to mean "President Trump requires a quid pro quo before any action is taken."

Not if you believe that the Dems are doing this for show and plan to stretch it out indefinitely.
