These announcements always seem like a good lubricant to convince taxpayers it is a good idea to spend billions more on military in case the aliens invade.
And then commonsense should kick in and tell you that if a civilization that is 100's, 1,000s or even millions of years ahead of us would destroy us relatively easily. It's like us going back to the stone age and waging war on primitive man with our modernized weapons against their stone spears and arrows.

Don't believe any of it. I think aliens exist somewhere in the vast universe, but the chances of them 1) discovering earth and 2) traveling here and 3) crashing once they got here are next to zero.
More likely is this is some psychological operation. Not sure what the goal is, but it could be to cover-up experimental craft.

I've just always thought it was funny that we think intergalactic beings would appear on Earth in aircraft just like human beings ride around in. Something tells me that a superior being with a superior method of transversing distances in the universe wouldn't be flying machines around Earth and crashing into mountains like a drunk 747 pilot

The video from the Navy pilots laughs at a psyop

Could be multiple aliens. Could have been coming/been here for centuries. This planet may not even belong to us. If that sounds silly just ask the indians of the plains just a few years ago "wtf you mean this is not our land"? "I did not sign that treaty." Who knows who runs this part of the galaxy. Some in government may have made deals we don't know about. With the great diversity of this planet resources may be being stolen or bought and for years by those unknown. If you think its all hysteria, our stuff or psyops remember the fact of the Foo Fighters. WWII pilots US and Germen reported seeing balls of light following planes and bombers. What or who made all that up?
I would love to know the answers but am afraid we won't like it.

Very well put. I agree.

My hope is that more Whistleblowers come forward. This is the smartest way to do it in my opinion. You force the government to let you speak and at the same time the public knows which makes it harder for the government to "salience" them.
