Watched and tend to mostly agree in terms of discussing looking back at prior elections vs. looking to benefit oneself for political gain.
Then the issue becomes one of purely of Trump's subjective intent. And unless you find a tape of Trump saying "I don't care about corruption in the slightest and I only want to investigate Hunter Biden to take out Joe Biden to help me for the 2020 election," it would be damn near impossible to prove.
Even if deep down if that's what Trump wants, investigating that corruption will always have a legitimate purpose. No one is above the law, right? We don't need to make a crooked former VP a crooked President.
Then the issue becomes one of purely of Trump's subjective intent. And unless you find a tape of Trump saying "I don't care about corruption in the slightest and I only want to investigate Hunter Biden to take out Joe Biden to help me for the 2020 election," it would be damn near impossible to prove.
Even if deep down if that's what Trump wants, investigating that corruption will always have a legitimate purpose. No one is above the law, right? We don't need to make a crooked former VP a crooked President.

Sorry, I should have said "there is no legitimate reason", you are right.
As I have said before, I think that, when taken as a whole, the evidence that pressure was being applied to Ukraine for a reason that COULD have been improper is reasonable enough that it bears investigating.
Do I think the fact that the House took up this investigation at all is directly tied to the fact that there is a Democratic majority currently? Of course, which is sad on its' own.
Do I think it should be done the way it is being done? No.
Do I think that the providence and legitimacy of the complaint need to be investigated with the same vigor. Yes of course.
Do I think that the complaint (not the investigation) was some sort of conspiracy perpetrated by the deep state and Democrats? No, I think they spoke up because they felt that what was occurring is improper, whether they are right doesn't poison their intent. However, I do not understand why a seasoned intelligence official would knowingly throw the legitimacy of their complaint in jeopardy by not following the proper WB procedures by contacting Schiff's office first. So that needs to be investigated as well.
Do I think they are going to be able to PROVE that the desire for the investigation is for use in the 2020 election, and not some other legitimate purpose? Not unless Trump himself comes out and says it.
Do I think that claims that Biden targeted Shokin because of a Burisma investigation, and not because he was failing to prosecute corruption should be investigated as well? Absolutely.
I am not some leftist progressive. I want our elected officials to be act in the best interest of the country, and follow the laws they swear to uphold. Do I like Trump? No not, particularly, but no more than I dislike Pelosi, or Schumer, Hillary, McConnell, or Bernie.
They are all terrible. All I want is as much of the truth as we can get.

If Trump's concern and desire for investigation in Ukraine was legitimate, then his fault was involving Giuliani. It throws a weird political shadow over the whole thing, and Giuliani takes to many liberties and can't control his mouth.

The whistleblower at the center of Democrats' impeachment inquiry acknowledged to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) that bias against President Trump might be alleged against him or her for a third, previously unreported reason, sources familiar with the ICIG investigation tell Fox News.
Fox News has previously reported the whistleblower is a registered Democrat and had a prior work history with a senior Democrat.

It's really incredible how obsessed and hellbent the Democrats are on impeachment.
Stop and think about everything they've gone through since Nov. or 2016.
It's beyond astounding. It's literally all they can think about. It's one failed attempt and incredulous narrative after another, non fricking stop, since the day he was elected.
How can anyone with an ounce of honesty and integrity and morals in them not realize the Dems/Left have blown all their credibility out the water?
How is anyone with a brain possibly believing this whistleblower shite is legitimate after the monumental bamboozling job perpetrated with the Russia Collusion bullshite?
