Do you actually believe the government would intentionally destroy itself? Do you think those in congress who are raking in millions of dollars would let those dollars become worthless?
The questions I have to counter this are:
1 Do you believe the United States can go into infinite debt?
2 Do you believe Congress will consistently agree to 32 straight years of spending 1 trillion less than tax income to pay this off?
To answer your question, I don't believe the government is intentionally destroying itself, but they also somehow don't grasp the enormity of what they're doing and have lost all connection the common person who is footing this bill.
It's like how a morbidly obese person isn't trying to kill themselves with food or a heroin addict isn't trying to OD. They simply can't control themselves and just think it'll be a problem dealt with in the future by the next group of assholes.
